Director - Research, Strategy & Impact

Tirtha is the Director of Research, Strategy & Impact at Intentional Asset Management, where she leads investment research, deal due diligence and fund structuring for the firm’s inaugural emerging markets private equity investment offerings - focused on food systems transformation in the Caribbean.

Tirtha previously helped launch India’s first official Behavioral Insights Unit in partnership with Gates Foundation and NITI Aayog (India's planning commission), where she applied experimental research to improve adoption of financial services, energy access and public health interventions, and optimize related policies and programs. This behavioral economics lens continues to inform her current work across investor decision-making, portfolio design, and capital deployment strategies that better align with real-world behavior.

Previously, she has also worked at the World Bank (in their Finance and Private Sector Development Unit), OECD (in their Results, Evaluation Data and Innovation Unit), and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), where she contributed to capital markets research, sovereign risk modeling, and ESG data strategy.

Tirtha holds an MPA in International Finance and Economics as well as Quantitative Analysis from Columbia University, and a BS with double majors in Applied Mathematics and Environmental Studies from FLAME University in India.
